How do I turn off the message counter?

I would turn off the message counter for specifics areas:

for example I don't want that the user posts counter encreases when a user posts in a specific forum.

Admin CP -> Forums & Moderators -> Forum Manager -> Edit Forum -> Count Posts Made in this Forum Towards User Post Counts -> No
