How to introduce phpBB users to VB

I have just upgraded (I am sure that is the right term) an established heavily modded phpBB forum to vb. Whilst much is familiar in terms of the basics of forum systems, obviously there is much that has changed.

I wonder if anyone has already written or at least has some advise as to what key features are worth pointing out to a non-technical (sic) user community.

Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You can invite them to click on the [FAQ] link in the top menu bar of your forum. It explains most basic vBulletin functionality.

And for any other question I recommend to have a site feedback or vBulletin Forum Questions forum so they can ask and your staff can answer.

Well yes, but it really is basic. It doesn't even explain reputation.

I'd suggest a sticky thread which you keep updated with replies to questions. I keep meaning to write something to explain to users how the forum works but I've never quite gotten around to it!

I was really hoping that someone had written a few runes already as I do not want to inflict the manual on ordinary non-technical users whilst the FAQ is really not that helpful.

Perhaps I shall end up writing one. Building it up over time as a serious of posts and then producing a consolidated version may well be the right approach.
