Permissions Question: Limiting who can post

I need to adjust the permissions of a forum so that everyone can read it, see pictures in it, but only a specific username can post in it.

Anyone know how to do this easily?

Admin CP -> Forums & Moderators -> Forum Permissions

Edit the group permissions for that forum to give everyone only the desired viewing permissions.

To set user-level permissions you need to enable access masks:

Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> General Settings -> Enable Access Masks

Now edit the user's profile in your Admin CP:

Admin CP -> Users -> Search for Users

Select the Edit Forum Permissions menu option for that user. Grant them access to that forum. Now that user will have his group's default permissions in that forum.

Access Masks can be a tricky concept. It means that in addition to Usergroup Permissions (Registered, Moderator, Banned, etc.) you are also giving ONE or more users special access.
