    This is the same issue. People access your foruims when the time was off.. You can try emptying the session table with this query but this will stop ALL user sessions:

    TRUNCATE session;

    I have a problem in that people are just showing constantly online even though my forum has been closed for at least an hour!

    no...

    on my forum it counts in minutes how long ago since a thread was updated ::

    and on one particular thread it has been stuck on one minute for 3 hours...

    likewise with the timing since people were last active... loads of users have frozen on 1 minute

    Fixing the server time will not fix the times on posts that were already made.

    http://forums.cpanel.net/showthread.php?t=58918

    You need an account to view it but its basically describing the problem is with cPanel and everyone appears to be 12 hours out.

    Your host can run the following to fix it.
    hwclock --hctosys
    or
    rdate -s rdate.cpanel.net

    This sounds more like a cpanel issue than anything else.

    All vBulletin times are based on the server times, if the server time changed for some reason then all your times are going to get thrown out. This will affect nearly everything on the server. Since base it on TIMENOW.

    Not really.

    Now, when I did a quick reply test in the forum with the bad time post, I did get an error. The following error occurred while submitting this message, or something to that effect. However, there was no error message. The message did not appear to post, however, upon refreshing the page, the post appeared, above the post with the bad time.

    Is this what happened to you?
