Issues After Upgrading from 3.5.1 -> 3.6.2

Hi there, i'm the current codebloke for www.thebestcasescenario.com.

We upgraded our forums from 3.5.1 to 3.6.2 last night, and quickly threw in our old forum skin to get everything back up and running fast. Unfortunately, we've noticed the following problems.

1) We can't get new users. If you try to sign up, the verification box is missing, but when trying to click continue, it gives the error message "What you have typed does not match the string in the box" or something similar.

2) When someone clicks "Post quick reply" it posts twice. For our users, this takes them to the "3 seconds between posts" page. Our admins are having to delete one of their posts.

3) The custom icons next to posts are apparently not displaying correctly. This may be broswer specific, as this has been reposted by our users and not by myself.

1 and 2 are the big issues at the moment. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.

One thing that may be of interest: the site has a custom template that wasn't done by myself. I'm not 100% certain of the modifcations that have been made either.

1) Fixed

I've managed to fix number 1. It was, as i suspected, an issue with the template.

I had fixed the template but not noticed a change. I then read on our admin forum that someone had temporarilly disabled image verification. I can now confirm that it works although i have not fully tested it.

Number 2

Problem number 2 has fixed itself at least for just now, and i'm still not experiencing problem 3 personally.

We have another problem though-the birthdays on the front page are not displaying correctly, and i've changed the code to the originals.

Any ideas?

Have you tried using the default style?

There are so many changes to the templates between 3.5.x and 3.6.x that it does cause a lot of things to not work correctly.

I would use the default style for the time being and get your style updated to work with 3.6.2 Depending on your confidence with working with the templates you might want to get some assistance with it, but it is totally possible, albeit time consuming, to get any style for 3.x working correctly with 3.6.x

Hey peterska2, i've updated the template to contain the new code for the birthday display, (although i've left the rest of the front page code alone for the time being) and it's still not working. The only other parts of the site still using the old templates are the Private Meassaging templates, the header, and the footer.

It might be possible that i've missed a part of the code in the front page, but i doubt it-i'll double check anyway.
