new subscriptions cancelling out old subscriptions

I am running 3.6.1, with multiple subscription options - I created a new subscription, (the first since upgrading from 3.0.4), and in the options, I checked a usergroup to add to people when they purchase the new subscription. However when people purchase it, it is wiping out all their other subscriptions, and only their new subscription remains.

    Any idea?

Thats because you are not including your old subscriptions with the new one. You gotta select usergroups that will go with this new subscription that belonged to the old subscription. That is the best way to put it. Or change this new subscription to where it adds them as a secondary usergroup instead of changing their usergroup then their subscriptions won't change, it will just add the new subscription.

      secondary usergroup

i am not setting it to change the primary usergroup, i am setting it to add that usergroup as an additional usergroup - yet even set as adding it as an additional usergroup, it is wiping out all other subscriptions

No offense against 'Steve M' but please be very careful before giving out your login info to non-staff.

Nonetheless you are asking people for Admin access to their forums and people need to be VERY careful who they give this to. Do you give out Admin access to your forums to anyone who offers to help regardless of whether you know them or not?

If you do, then you shouldn't.

Right, I agree with you Steve, thats why I stated what I did above, I never ask for that persons login info as that is taking it to far. I only give admin access to very few usually those that have helped me in the past or tried to help before. But I know what you mean. And you right, you shouldn't. If Jilly doesn't want to, thats fine, I can try to recreate the problem on my test site. No biggie.

                  Oh my!

yeah, with such similar usernames, I actually assumed it was Steve Machol, when running on too small an amount of coffee..

At any rate, it turned out to be a weird one time fluke, so it's okay for now...
