As long as you do not have any child styles for it then you can do the following

Styles and Templates > Style Manager > Default Style Drop Down list > Delete Style.

You will be asked to confirm that this is what you want to do.

If you have any child styles of the default style, deleting the style will also delete the child ones. However, you can disable it by unchecking the checkbox next to the title and just having the styles that you wish to have available to your users checked. Then click save at the bottom and it will update the style chooser for non-admins to omit any styles that are not checked. Admins see all styles whether they are active or not.

I tried that but all it says is:

The default style set within the vBulletin Options can not be deleted. Please change this before attempting to delete the style.

You can't delete the default style. Are you unhappy with the changes in your current style and wanting to revert to the original vBulletin style? If so, create a NEW style with NO parent style and then delete the other style.
