Succesful Upgrade but Version Number not changed

    Hi,

I have previously installed the upgrade from 3.6.0 to 3.6.1, and now the latest upgrade to 3.6.2

Both appear to have completed succesfully without incident but both the forum footer and the Control Panel page are still showing 3.6.0. The same happened with the previous upgrade.

How can I check that the upgrades have been succesful?

    Cheers,

    Tim

This is then already a problem with the previous upgrade that has either not completed, or used the wrong files.

Go back to the upgrade before 3.6.0 and upgrade to 3.6.2 again. Make sure all the files are there and 100% - not resumed.

I have reinstalled the upgrade prior to 3.6.0 and then 3.6.2. During the upgrade everything reports as OK, but the Forum and Control Panel are still showing 3.6.0.

I am uploading the entire Upload folder with the exception of the install file. I have also tried a different FTP client in case some files were being missed.

Is it possible that the upgrade has taken effect but for some reason it is just reporting the wrong version number?

Is there anything I can check to see whether 3.6.2 is in fact installed?

        Cheers, Tim

This means that you did not upload all the 3.6.2 files when you upgraded, in particular the 'install/*.xml' files. Reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server. Also be sure to upload the admincp files to whichever directory you have set in your config.php file.

Then run 'install/finlaupgrade.php' again. Make sure that the XML file versions in the upper right hand corner of the page show 3.6.2.
