How do I notify myself of any new post on any forum?

How do I notify myself of any new post on any forum?
I see there's an option, forum based in the forum manager.

But I was wondering if there's a place to get notify of any new post in any forum globally.

There is no global option for this, the only place to do this, as you've said, is in the Forum Manager.

Update forum set newpostemail = '[email protected]'

I'm not getting the emails after this update. (I have to do it this way because I have 450 forums)

Is there any other switch to turn on to get the emails sent?

I assume other emails are being sent ok, new registerations etc? You may have to check the mail server logs to see what is happing to these mails.

I've just tested this. I modified the birthday of the same email I put for notifications and then ran the scheduled task. I received the email within a minute.
The others emails, when new posts are sent, are not arriving.
I guess they're not being send.

Since some email is working, you will need to view the mail logs on the server to see what happened to those emails that don't work. Once vBulletin sends it to PHP it's in the hands of the server. If you are on a shared server you may need to ask your host to look through the logs for you.

You know what, this is strange, I added another email to the box, in the forum manager:
[email protected] [email protected]

And then, posts are sent to the [email protected] account, but still not sent to the first one I put.

I'm guessing they're being put in other table, too.

Last test:

It sends emails to anyone, except myself. I mean, my email account which is on the same domain as the server and forum.
May be related to the smtp installed on the server.

I'm not sure what field the email address gets added to, sorry. Maybe someone more familiar with the code can assist you.
