User reputation points given

Hello,

Where do I change how much Rep points a specific user group can give out? For some reason people are giving out 1000+ rep points per click! Also, how does the points system work in terms of how how many points are given?

All groups use the same power factors:

Admin CP -> vBulletin Options -> User Reputation Options

Your power factors are probably too generous.

Thanks Jake. I dont see where I actually change the points given per click for the users, only for the admin. How would I configure this screen if I wanted users to give 5 poins per click?

It doesn't work that way.

The amount of reputation points that you can give is directly related to the number of reputation points you have.

If you have 500 reputation points, you can give another user more reputation points than if you only had 50 reputation points. The better your reputation, the more important your opinion of other people's reputation is.

Register Date Factor, Post Count Factor, and Reputation Point Factor are all multipliers.

What would be fabulous is at the top of the User Reputation Options, something like:

With the current settings and factors, a user with 500 reputation points who gives reputation to another user's post would either give them X points or take away X/2 points. Click "Save" below to see your changes reflected in these numbers.
