Hi,

Whenever I try to view a member's profile, I get:

This user has not registered and therefore does not have a profile to view.

I can get profiles up using the last poster.

However when I click User Options on a profile that I managed to get up, I get:

No User specified. If you followed a valid link, please notify the administrator

Any ideas?

What is the link to one of the posts by this user? My guess is that this user and userid no longer exist in the database.

They are still a member in the database, and this happens for all users.
Look at www.compuforums.org. If you click on the username in the last post box, you will see a profile. But if you click on a username in say, the members list, the error comes up. An example of some posts can be found at http://www.compuforums.org/showthread.php?t=1235.

First, reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server. Also be sure to upload the admincp files to whichever directory you have set in your config.php file.

Next, disable all plugins.

Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php

define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);

Then if you still have this problem, create a new style and choose no parent style. This will force it to use the default templates. Finally empty your browser cache, close all browser windows then try again. Make sure you change to the new style and view your forums with it. Do you have the same problem?

Hi there,

Thanks for your help, I have fixed it. Using the disable plugins code made it work again, so I disabled each plugin one by one until the page come up. The offending plugin was Zoints SEO, even though I had turned it off in it's own control panel.

However then I got another error, but a quick search of the forum managed to find the fix. Thanks again
