old install and new install

I installed VB 3.6.1 not so long ago and now after installing mods and rebooting the forum failed to load and so I am guessing it's something I did which caused this issue but what I am asking is, is there a file in my folder which keeps all the forums I put in so I don't have to write them all out again?

Since I have formatted my PC I don't have the database installed and the database won't load.
The database has encountered a problem.


Is there a file in which the forums are placed that I can just overwrite

Can you post the exact database error message you are receiving?
And have you tried my suggestion above?

The problem is that the details in your config.php file are incorrect.

But since I formatted I deleted the database and so it won't load anymore, is there anyways I can get the data for the forums I put in out of the old on into the new one without having to start it all again?

If you formatted your database then your data is lost, unless you have a backup.

Not sure I do, Since I have formatted and installed WAMP all the mods I am putting in seem to be working properly and it's a better install than the last one. This time it means I have to start again and backup more often
