    I think they are using the title image which is a field under styles and templates?

    The code below will not distort the image and it will hide anything past the browser width from the users. Those with larger screens and widths will automatically see more of the image. The only drawback is that if you have text across the entire image then it can be cut off.

    HTML Code:
    <!-- logo -->
    <a name="top"></a>
    <div style="width:100%;overflow:hidden"><a href="$vboptions[forumhome].php$session[sessionurl_q]"><img src="$stylevar[titleimage]" border="0" alt="$vboptions[bbtitle]" /></a></div>
    <!-- /logo -->
    where do you put the link to the image?

    I had a similar problem and found this bit of code:

    Code:
    <!-- logo -->
    <a name="top"></a>
    <a href="$vboptions[forumhome].php$session[sessionurl_q]"><img src="$stylevar[titleimage]" width="100%" border="0" alt="$vboptions[bbtitle]" /></a>
    <!-- /logo -->
    It goes into the header template and makes your banner stretch to size of your browser. This way your banner will be at 100%, without getting cut off and no matter what resolution the viewer is using.

    Hope this helps you.

    As long as you have a ridiculously wide header image, people will have to scroll left and right.

    You could use the header image as the background image of a table and make that table 100% width. Then the right side of the header will simply be cut off on smaller screens.

    Header image stretches forum

    Hi,

    I hope someone can help me with this.

    I was using the forum with a fixed width of 800px but now I've changed it to allow it to use 100% of the browser window.

    For me it looks fine but for some people they have to scroll left and right to read a post.

    I think it's got something to do with the header image I'm using. It's quite large in size - 1400px wide. I want to have a full image at the top rather than a logo on the left or something small but is there any way I can prevent the header image stretching the top?

    I hope that makes sense.

    You can see the forum main page at www.arseblog.com/forums

    If anyone has any advice it would be much appreciated.

    thanks
