    Thread Views

    Hello all,

Where (or how) can I turn off the Thread Views column?
    I don't need this feature.

There's no way to turn this off, you'd have to manually edit the FORUMDISPLAY and threadbit template to remove this.

      Hello Colin,

      Thanks for your reply.

Do you mean I could just remove the intended lines Jake mentionned here ?

He speaks about forumhome_forumbit_level1_post. You think I should also change something with threadbit ?

        That's similiar, yes.
Those instructions are for the forum overview, and not the thread overview though, which is why there are different templates.

Ok I removed the Views column and decided to keep the little message displayed when mouse flyes over.

So I'd like to know now how to reset counts.
And I think there's a hack which allow to count views only for new visitors (i.e. it does not count if the same user comes twice or more).

There is no function to do this. This requires modifying the code. We cannot officially support code modifications or forums running modified code, however you can try searching or asking for help with this over at www.vbulletin.org.

                Ok thank you Steve.
Could you just confirmed something I think I guessed.

Only new viewers are counted each time, here on vBulletin.com ?
I mean, if a user comes twice on a thread, it will be counted only th first time.
So if it is, you mean that it is a hack which comes from vb.org ?
