Subscriptions

I've read the manual about subscriptions, but it really does not specifically say what it does, and will do.

If you set up a subscription with paypal, what will happen when the subscription expires? Will it direct the user to a paypal link to make the payment? I got the impression that it might process the payment automatically - is that correct, and how does it do that?

I understand how it adds them to a usergroup and everything - just not exactly what will happen when the subscription expires. Thanks for any help.

It sends them back to the old group, they are also emailed letting them know I believe.

Oh I realize that. See, I had a manual subscription system going for a long time, and now I've input everyone into the paid subscription feature of vB.

What will happen when their subscription expires (besdies losing access)? Will they be presented with a link to paypal using the information I've setup. Will something go through automatically, or will it be manual? How exactly will they get notified, and what happens?

Just a more detailed explaination of teh paid subscription feature is needed. Thanks for any help.

They just get dumped back into their old group if their subscription is not updated.

What I'm asking is this:

A user's subscription has expired. They log onto the vbulletin. What do they see? Are they asked (and where are they asked) to renew their subscription? I'm assuming it's manual, and it isn't automated or anything (although some of teh documentation implies that it might try and put the payment through automatically somehow?).

Nothing special unless youve changed it, No their not, at least not on the forums. They are however sent an email.
