Hiding Specific User Group Question

How can I hide a specific user group from the "Currently Active Members" and the "Welcome Our Newest Member" located under the 'whats going on' section without doing hacks (Through Admin CP).

I see that I can hide user groups from the "Members List" through the admin control panel, but how can I hide the two things above the same way.

I don't know how to "hide" them as such, but couldnt that member set themselves to invisable to keep off who's online?

Im not looking to give the user the choice this is comming from an admin's point of view. I dont want them to show up.
