You can go in through the forum manager, and there's an option "Forum is open". It says if you turn that to no, no new posts will be allowed. Maybe that's close enough to what you want?

    Thanks that's it !

The other option is to allow log in just for administrators, i.e. still forum is open, browseable, but all user are on the forum as guest since they are not allowed to log in.

In the Vbulletin Options---> User Registration Options, you can turn off new registrations.
For your other question, if the forum is closed only admins can see it, is that what you want?

    Temporally close registration

I guess must be some switch somewhere.

Where can I temporally close user registration ?
I mean, keep the forum alive, visible and browsable, but I want to stop new users from signing up.
Also, would be nice to have another place to temporally close sign in for all except administrator.
    Do these options exist ?
