  • Thread Preview

    When you click on new posts and it brings up the list of threads and you hover overtop of any of the threads my preview doesn't work anymore. It stopped working when I upgraded to 3.5.4 and I had hoped when I upgraded to 3.6 it would fix the problem but it didn't.

    I checked inside the admin panel to make sure its on and its checked to yes but it still won't work. Any ideas?

    To troubleshoot this, remove any hacks and disable your plugins, then see if you still have this problem.

    Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php

    define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);

    If so, reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server. Also be sure to upload the admincp files to whichever directory you have set in your config.php file.

    Next, create a new style and choose no parent style. This will force it to use the default templates. Finally empty your browser cache, close all browser windows then try again. Make sure you change to the new style and view your forums with it. Do you have the same problem?

    Change CKEditor Colors to Match Style (for 4.1.4 and above)

      mine is similar but not quite. My thread preview shows up when listing threads in a forum, but does NOT show when performing a search (daily, latest, recent threads module, subscription list, etc).

      I checked the template and the $thread[preview] code is where it should be, and HTML source just shows them as blank - any ideas? thanks

        ......?

        still waiting on a resolution to this!

        thread previews show up in a forum listing, and in my VBa CMPS home page's "recent threads" module - but NOT for any search thread values.

          You need to start your own thread with all the relevant details if you want help.
