    ok that makes sense.... is the signature is posted in the "postbit" template right?

    Also what would the exact code to hide the sig be? I tried this and it didnt work:

    <if condition="$bbuserinfo['userid'] != 0">
    $post[signature]
    </if>

    also tried this and didnt work either

    <if condition="$bbuserinfo['userid'] == 0">
    __________________<br />
    <else />
    <if condition="$post['signature']">
    <!-- sig -->
    <div>
    __________________<br />
    $post[signature]
    </div>
    <!-- / sig -->
    </if>

    You want to hide sigs from unregistered viewers? If so, this can be done with template conditionals. Here is the online documentation for using template conditionals:

    started a topic default view of signatures.

    default view of signatures.

    I know with 3.6 the way you allow signatures has been changed and I had a question about how it works. With 3.5 we had signatures enabled but hid them from the default view (of all usergroups) and made people that want to see sigs go into their usercp and check the box in there.

    Well I cant remember how to "re-hide" them from default views (namely to help page loads and give our site a cleaner look defaultly). I want to say I changed it last time in the "maintenance" section but I didnt see anything in there that looked familiar.

    i found the registering checkbox (and got that fixed) but it still wont apply to the un-registered group etc.
