  • Additional Usergroup Permissions Not Overriding

I'm setting up a board that requires a subscription for users to post. By examining the subscription process I see that if a user begins the registration process but then drops out once they get to the payment stage (i.e., do not pay), their registration is still included as a Registered Users. To avoid this I have shut down most permissions for Registered Users. Instead, I've created an additional usergroup that will include all users that have paid. This user group has full permissions.

My problem is that I can't get the additional usergroup permissions to override the permissions of Registered User. I have set the "Allow Users to have Member Groups " in Registered User to "Yes". Should I be doing something else?

It should work if you have this setup correctly. Have you installed any hacks or plugins?
