    Admin CP not saving changes

    I went to change the parent directory for a forum, and it appeared to save fine. When I log into my Admin CP it shows it as being under that parent forum. However, when viewing the board, it is still in the old spot.

    Also, when I changed user group permissions (to moderate newbies) it didn't save, because they are still spamming.

    However, I can change a user profile's signature fine.

    Any ideas? It was working fine until a month or two ago.

    Hard refresh your browser.

    Change CKEditor Colors to Match Style (for 4.1.4 and above)

      Thank you for your quick reply. That was the first thing I did (DH is in the computer business, so I know some of those tricks). I have refreshed, restarted my machine, had other people log in and change it, etc. The forum still isn't moving, user group is still unmoderated. So it's not just on my end.

      DH is trying to upgrade to see if that will help.

        Does it change in the Admin CP?

          Yes, it changes in the Admin CP, but you wouldn't know it by looking at the board.

            Then honestly it has to be from an add-on or other modification.

            To troubleshoot this, first reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server. Also be sure to upload the admincp files to whichever directory you have set in your config.php file. Then run 'Suspect File Versions' in Diagnostics to make sure you have all the original files for your version and that none show 'File does not contain expected contents':

            Admin CP -> Maintenance -> Diagnostics -> Suspect File Versions

            [Note: In some cases you may also need to remove any of the listed .xml files in the includes/xml directory.]

            Next, disable all plugins.

            Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php

            define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);

            Then if you still have this problem, create a new style and choose no parent style. This will force it to use the default templates. Finally empty your browser cache, close all browser windows then try again. Make sure you change to the new style and view your forums with it. Do you have the same problem?

              I have not edited or added any plug-ins or mods in some time but will try as you suggested. Thank you!
