  • Error in DB table

Not sure if this is the correct section to post my question?

I am currently getting the following error but no matter how I try, it doesn't seem to get repaired.

Error: Table './mysite/phrase' is marked as crashed and should be repaired

Anyone have any solution how I can go about solving this?

    Thanks.

No - but which vb version you run, i can move your thread to that forum.

Also, we need more info.. the full mysql error..

But the error listed above discloses already a little that the table has crashed.

Load up a console and run optimize and repair on that and the other database tables from the shell.

      Hi Floris,

      I am currently using vb3.5.3.

This is the full error that I am receiving.

      Database error in vBulletin 3.5.3:
      Invalid SQL:
      SELECT text, languageid
      FROM phrase
      WHERE phrasetypeid = 2000
      AND varname = 'login' AND languageid IN (-1, 0, 1);
MySQL Error : Table './mysite/phrase' is marked as crashed and should be repaired
      Error Number : 145
      Date : Sunday, February 24th 2008 @ 03:10:48 AM
      Script : mysite/login.php
      Referrer : mysite/admincp.index.php
      IP Address : xx.xx.xx.xx
      Username : ccplim
      Classname : vB_Database
I have tried repairing and optimizing the DB in admincp but it doesn't seem to help.

        Hopefully this helps: http://dev.mysql.com/doc/refman/4.1/...intenance.html

And otherwise restore to a backup into a new db and run optimize and repair on that.

          Hi Floris,

Thanks for that! I'll give it a go and see how it goes.
