Posting and staying logged in problems

Hi,

A fair few people contact me and say things like -

I can't post - it just keeps asking me to log in again .... or
I have registered and logged in but can't post

This obviously worries me as for every person that says this too me there are probably another 10 or 20 that just dont bother and then don't post anything in the forum...

So - does anyone else have an experience of this? Is there something that I have done wrong in the setup of the forum??

We do say to users to tick the "remember me" when they login but I am sure most people don't bother.

We get loads and loads of people on the forum but very very few post anything and this worries me that some problem is causing me to lose loads of my members

I suggest that you enable the Remember Me as the default so people will use cookies to track their sessions. Here are the instructions for changing this:
