Cookie Timeout not functioning properly after move to new host

    Hi

The cookie timeout doesnt seem to be functioning properly since i have moved to a new host. I have set it for a hour, and it seems to only actually do 15 mintues. I searched the forums and thought i had a solution which was a staff member thought the cause could be the new host was switching IP addresses on me. However, this does not seem to be the case when i asked their support team. They have not been switching IP addresses, and my site has been using the same one all the time.

Keep in mind it has always functioned correctly up to the move, it have worked for maybe a week on the new host, but after that the problem surfaced. I have not modified anything or added any hacks.

Does anyone know what may be the cause?

    Thank you in advance

What exactly is happening to make you think it's not working?

i actually have timed visits of myself and had my members do the same, and to the further extent i set the cookie time for 24 hours which is set at a cookie time of 86400 seconds. The reason why i believe that it is not working is because this problem only surfaced now, when at the new host.

what other reasons do you believe could have cause this?

How exactly did you time these visits? There is no function in vB to do that.
