  • Rotating Banner favoring one of the banners

    I have a rotating banner that has 2 images. Banner 1 seems to be coming up more often than banner 2.

    I did a test: From the home page I clicked on the first forum, then back to the home page, then on the next forum, back to the home page and so on. I found that it showed both banners an equal number of times when I clicked on the forums. However, Banner 1 came up twice as much when I clicked back to the home page.

    I am using 3.5.4 and have this info in the plugin system
    $random_number = rand(1, 2);
    $random_banner[1] = '<a href="<A href="http://www.teamprivateer.com/join.html"target="_blank"><img">http://www.teamprivateer.com/join.html"target="_blank"><img src="http://www.supermotojunkie.com/image...ips_061306.jpg" alt="" border="0" /></a>';
    $random_banner[2] = '<a href="<A href="http://www.motostrano.com"target="_blank"><img">http://www.motostrano.com"target="_blank"><img src="http://www.supermotojunkie.com/image...topbanner2.gif" alt="" border="0" /></a>';

    Is there something wrong with the code that could cause this? Is there different code I could use? Maybe one that made it rotate the banner for every page loaded (no matter what page it is). So it would always go in a designated order (1,2,1,2,1,2) instead of random?

      Is it possibe that you are counting the same banner more then once? What I am saying is that: is your browser cashing the same home page and you are then counting the same banner twice?
