Paypal Email going to wrong email account

I assume this is a Paypal problem but wondering if anyone else having the same issues.

In my Paypal API i have the following settings for paypal emails:

PayPal Email
Please enter your PayPal email, all references to the subscription service will use this email: [email protected]

Paypal Primary Account Email
Your PayPal primary account email that corresponds to the address above, this is required for recurring susbcription verification. [email protected]


The issue is:
For the past year when someone would signup for a subscription and send payment, paypal would send me the notification email to [email protected], now as of yesterday notification of payments from the website are all going to [email protected]. Is anyone else having this issue?

That is not a problem as thats how its supposed to work. emailnumber2 should be a secondary email that you have added to your paypal account. Anyone that sends payment to that email then a notice will be sent to that email instead of the primary. That is how paypal works. In some cases a notice will go to both emails like mine does.

So according to that thread, VB will have to i guess update the way they control things because of the changes paypal api made?

Old thread but I have a question on a similar topic...

I have set up my paypal emails (admin, store, vendors, etc) to try and organize payments so that I can review them easily.

On my paid subscription setup, I have used my admin email as the "Paypal Email" which is where I want the payments/emails sent, and I also entered my "Paypal Primary Account Email" (required for recurring payments) as my appropriate master Paypal email acct. email (which is a personal email address).

Unfortunately, all of the email notifications are sent to my "Paypal Primary Account Email" and it seems like the "Paypal Email" isn't being used at all.

The subscription service acts as it should, renewals seem to work fine, users are upgraded properly, etc. but its just not emailing/filing the subscriptions the way I'd like it to.

Do I have something set up incorrectly or does anyone have any ideas?
