    URL Problem

    Whenever someone enters the following as an URL to our site (http://xxxxx.com/forum), they get a page not found error and the URL window defaults to this URL as a result (http://www.xxxxx.com/forum//home2/xx...ic_html/forum), revealing the entire path for the forum.

    However, when they enter the site's URL like this: (http://www.xxxxx.com/forum) or (http://xxxxx.com/forum/) there's no problem.

    How do I fix that?

    Have you installed any hacks or plugins? Can you post the real URL so we can see what you are talking about?

          Try again and look at the URL bar.

            Same thing with the URL you provided. HTTP 404 Not Found. Next time be sure to add the 'www' to the URL.

            You have installed a few add-ons, including vBSEO which changes quite a number of things.

            First, reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server. Also be sure to upload the admincp files to whichever directory you have set in your config.php file.

            Next, disable all plugins.

            Note: To temporarily disable the plugin system, edit config.php and add this line right under <?php

            define('DISABLE_HOOKS', true);

            Then if you still have this problem, create a new style and choose no parent style. This will force it to use the default templates. Finally empty your browser cache, close all browser windows then try again. Make sure you change to the new style and view your forums with it. Do you have the same problem?
