The thread titles are there but no threads?

Hi,
Does anyone know what could cause the thread titles to show but when I click them there is no thread????? I get a message about the $idname not existing. If I move the mouse over the thread I can read a the first couple of lines in it but not the actual thread. Any ideas welcome.

Rebuild the thread and forum counters in your
AdminCP -> Maintenance -> Update Counters

Did that and optimized tables and repaired them...all you can think of...but I have nothing to lose..I will do them again. Is there a certain order that they should be done in or just any order? Thanks
