Avatars: Upgrade from 3.0.13 to 3.5.4

Hi

I recently installed an old board that I pulled offline back in 2003. Back then it was running 2.6 and I had upgraded it to 3.0.13 a few months ago. Now I have upgraded it to 3.5.4 and the avatars are not showing up. At one point it told me to do the following:

You are storing Avatars in the file system. vB 3.5.0 now has the option to store Profile Pictures in the file system as well using a consolidated option for both image types. When your upgrade has completed, go into your Admin CP and move all of your avatars back into the database via Avatars->User Picture Storage Type. When the process is completed, go back to the same option and move your pictures back to the file system. Now your avatars and profile pictures will be stored in the file system. If you fail to do this, your users' profile pictures will not display.

I did that. I changed the storage type several times to either database or filesystem and no matter what option I choose, the avatars don't show up. Any suggestions? Thanks

Add a new Style and select 'No Parent Style'. This will force it to use the default templates. Switch to this Style and see if the avatars show up.

I got it working now, I paid to get the latest version of vB and upgraded again and this time used a style created for this latest version.
