  • Daily visits by bots. I don't want any.

I am constantly bombarded by bots. How do I stop them from coming to the forum?

If you mean search engine bots, use a robots.txt file: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robots.txt

      I wrote a robots.txt file with

      PHP Code:
      User-agent: *
      Disallow: /forum
because I don't want indexing of my forum.

      (my board is on www.mywebsite/forum)

        Thanks for the info.

Your link doesn't work. Looks like you left off the .com, .org, .net or whatever it is.

He didn't mean the link as such, but just to illustrate that the robots.txt file will block the forum if it's at www.yourdomain.com/forum/, meaning in the /forum/ subdirectory.
