Domain Forwarding

I have a domain (www.domain1.com) and i have my forum at sub.domain1.com/forum, the new domain (www.domain2.com) forwards to sub.domain1.com. The forums are now located at www.domain2.com/forum.
Now I have set the config of the forum to this new setting, but all the urls on the forum still show sub.domain1.com/forum in the bottom bar. How can I change this to www.domain.com/forum without having to reinstall the whole forum ?

Did you update the admincp > vboptions > site url & server settings ?

yes i did sorry for the confusion, i'll try it again

I installed the forum on a subdomain, now I got a new domain which i forwarded to that subdomain. So I set the new domain details in the "admincp > vboptions > site url & server settings". It works good (address bard gives correct url and sessions/cookies work), the only 'problem' i have is that at the bottom of the browser, it still shows the subdomains url instead of the new domain.

Ok, so i deleted the forum, emptied the database and uploaded everything again. Now I can't get past the customer id input, when redirecting the returns me to the same page (customer id input).

The problem is it still used my old subdomain url instead of my new domain url.

subdomain is the real domain
the forward .. is just a forward.

This might be what is causing the problem.

What cookie path and domain did you set?
