Upgrading from 2.2.6 to 3.5.4

Hi,
I have a very old version (2.2.6) and I would now like to upgrade to 3.5.4. Could someone please confirm that the following steps are the right?

- Download 2.3.5 , upload (overwrite) files
- Upgrade to 2.3.5 (running upgradeXX.php files)

- Download 3.5.4 , upload (overwrite) files
- Upgrade to 3.5.4 (no need to manually run any upgradeXX.php files, it's an automatic procedure via the upgrade wizard)

Is this ok?

Get the latest stable: 2.3.9
And upgrade to 2.3.9.

Just to 2.3.5 might probably work, I just always go to the latest stable just to be sure.

Yep.

2.2.x > 2.3.9 running each individual upgradeXX.php file.

2.3.9 > 3.5.4 running the upgrade.php file

If the upgrade to 2.3.9 is 100% ok you could take a break and test it and make a backup in between .. making it easier for you if upgrade to 3.5 goes bad for some reason.
