Im having some problems

Whenever my users post it shows them as "Offline"
some signatures are not showing up(meaning in one post its not there but in another it is)
and people cant edit their first posts in threads
Please help as i am new to vB

Honestly, none of that makes any sense. Given this you should start at the beginning. To troubleshoot this, remove any hacks and disable your plugins, then see if you still have this problem.

If so, reupload all the original vB non-image files (except install.php). Make sure you upload these in ASCII format and overwrite the ones on the server.

Next, create a new style and choose no parent style. This will force it to use the default templates. Finally empty your browser cache, close all browser windows then try again. Make sure you change to the new style and view your forums with it. Do you have the same problem?

okay let me rephrase
The members on my forum are online but the forum says they are not
and when my members make a thread and need to edit the first post, they cant
I do not have any hacks installed
this is happening with all users on the forum so i don't think clearing my browser cache will help

Yes, I understand what you wrote. But again none of that makes any sense for a non-hacked forum. Therefore please follow the instructions in post #2.
