What is the safest CHMOD for /images ?

I think the default will do, 755 I believe?

Thanks Floris. I was discussing this with Wayne Luke via a support ticket and he suggested;

chmod 0644 in your vBulletin directories and that your folders for avatars, profile pictures and attachments reside above the webroot, i.e. in your home directory, so they are not accessible from the web directly.

I tried chmod'ing my misc folder to 0644 and I can't view the images from the folder on my forum. I've changed it to 0755.

He then said;

That would be a limitation in how your webserver is setup. 0755 would work as long as Apache or another script is not compromised on the server.

So I have it at 755 for the moment.
