Hi,
Yesterday I was installing joomla to play around on and it was recommended that I change the value of session_save_path to "/tmp" in php.ini. So I contacted my host and had them do it late last night.
This morning I am getting all sort of non-critical errors on the message boards. Almost everyone's avatar has disappeared. Posting does not yield confirmation pages, at least not quickly, or yields an error, but the post goes up.
And apparently I just found one critical error in that I am unable to login to the admin control panel, it appears to hang on the redirect page.
Anyway, my questions are these,
1) Could this change cause these errors (am I barking up the right tree?)?
2) What should session save path be set to for vbulletin? (default install)
3) And is there anyway to change the "settings" so that vbulletin will work with an alternate save_path location like /tmp.
Please forgive my lack of knowledge about these things.
Thanks,
Aaron
