  • V-bull database error e-mails?

As the admin to my forum, I got about 60 e-mails titled "V-bulletin database error" from saturday night, all within minutes of each other. The e-mail was:

    Database error in vBulletin :
mysql_connect(): Lost connection to MySQL server during query /home/.dixiecat/freebord/ on line 279
    MySQL Error :
    Error Number :
    Date : Saturday, May 20th 2006 @ 04:59:26 PM
    Script :
    Referrer :
    IP Address :
    Username :
    Classname : vb_database

do u guys know what this means? is there a problem I need to address? is it something effecting my users?
If it's not a big deal, is there some way to turn this warning off so I dont get 60+ of um at a time?

    Thanks guys

This is a server issue. You need to contact your host about this. See this post for the possible causes of a lost connection error:

Do you think this is a problem worth persuing or is it not something I should be worrying about if it doesnt happen alot? :/

If it happens regularly I recommend you contact your host about it, if it's seldom/sporadic I wouldn't bother.
