  • Moved Board - Now I get an error

    I set my board up in a sub directory so that it would not get in the way of my current operations. I decided it was time to do the switch and moved it to the main directory and now I get this error :

    Invalid forum path specified! Please edit this file and be sure to include the correct path for your $forumpath variable.

    How can I change this now as I can't even log in as admin. If I try in just sends me back to the log in screen.

    My site is: http://www.canuckclan.com
    It used to be: http://www.canuckclan.com/vbullet/forums

    Thanks,

    Luke

    In your config.php, which is in the includes directory of your forums, what do you have set for this setting?

    // ******** FULL PATH TO FORUMS DIRECTORY ******

      I never changed this when I installed it. Should I change it now?

      // ******** FULL PATH TO FORUMS DIRECTORY ******
      // On a few systems it may be necessary to input the full path to your forums directory
      // for vBulletin to function normally. You can ignore this setting unless vBulletin
      // tells you to fill this in. Do not include a trailing slash!
      // Example Unix:
      // $config['Misc']['forumpath'] = '/home/users/public_html/forums';
      // Example Win32:
      // $config['Misc']['forumpath'] = 'c:\program files\apache group\apache\htdocs\vb3';
      $config['Misc']['forumpath'] = '';
      This is my forum path now : /home/content/L/u/k/Lukeharris/html/ however I have never edited the config even when it was /home/content/L/u/k/Lukeharris/html/vbullet/forums

        Try setting the correct forum path in that variable.

          Ok I did that and I got my board up and it is still turned off. Now I can not log in to the acp as after thanking me for logging in it goes back to the acp log in screen. I just uploaded and started the tools script. I read in another post that I should reset the cookies. Is this all I need to do?

              Yes it definately sounds like a cookie problem, set the cookie path back to default..
