  • Edit Signature field on Edit Profile page

    Hello,

    I would like to get rid of the separate "Edit Signature" page in the User CP, en use the Edit Profile page to let people edit their signatures instead. I would also like to get rid of the message area and use a text input box instead.

    I thought I could do this by adding the following to 'modifyprofile' (below Instant Messaging):

    HTML Code:
    <fieldset class="fieldset">
    	<legend><label for="tb_signature">$vbphrase[signature]</label></legend>
    	<table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="$stylevar[formspacer]" border="0" width="100%">
    	<tr>
    		<td>$vbphrase[edit_signature]</td>
    	</tr>
    	<tr>
    		<td><input type="text" class="bginput" name="signature" value="$bbuserinfo[signature]" size="50" maxlength="150" dir="ltr" /></td>
    	</tr>
    	</table>
    </fieldset>
    I also added this to the form (below 'updateprofile'):

    HTML Code:
    <input type="hidden" name="do" value="updatesignature" />
    But it doesn't seem to work; the field displays the user's signature, but won't save it when changed. Can you only perform one "do" action at a time? And is there a way around this?

    Thanks in advance

    You'd most likely have to edit the code, as yes, you can only submit one form value with the same name at a time.
