How do you determine a userid of a user?

Hover over the user's name and look at the bropwser bar. The userid number is right after the u=Steve Machol, former vBulletin Customer Support Manager (and NOT retired!)

When I hover over usernames in this forum it works and I see the userid but when I hover over users in my forum I get this:
member.php?find=lastposter&t=
Any ideas why?
