  • Forums fine, but I get database errors daily

    The forums are running fine. But everyday, at random times, I get the following error:

    There seems to have been a problem with the database.
    Please try again by clicking the Refresh button in your web browser.

    An E-Mail has been dispatched to our Technical Staff, whom you can also contact if the problem persists.

    We apologise for any inconvenience.
    This error will persist for hours until it starts working again. This happens almost daily. Is this a MySQL error or a problem with the forums?

    mysql_connect(): #HY000Host '' is blocked because of many connection errors; unblock with 'mysqladmin flush-hosts'
    /home/netmsak1/public_html/forum/includes/class_core.php on line 279

    The server has maxed out the number of MySQL connections it allows. You can try turning persistent connections off in your config.php:

    $config['MasterServer']['usepconnect'] = 0;

    But if you still have problems after that, all you can do is ask your host to raise the maximum number of connections they allow.

    Here is more info on that error:
