  • Login From HTML Link (HREF Tag)

Hello, I would like to know if it is possible to login from a simple href tag that would need to look something like the following:

    Code:
         <a href="login.php?username=USERNAME&password=PASSWORD">Login</a>
USERNAME and PASSWORD would be PHP variables that would be echoed into the HTML link.

No, that's not possible, because those values have to be sent as POST data. Sending them via the URL will submit them as GET data.

      Ok...

So basically the only way to do it is by submitting the form to the 'login.php' then, correct?

        Pretty much.
You could technically also modify the code or add a script that enteres a session value into the database, but you'd have to ask for help with that on www.vbulletin.org
