  • Unable to add plugins

When I try to add plugins at the "Import Plugin Definitions XML File" area of the control panel, I get a message telling me that "Internet Explorer can not display the webpage" or the Mozilla equivalent.

This type of error happens with both IE7 and Firefox 1.5, and also appears to happen on different PCs with different administrators logged in. This also seems to happen regardless of the plugin you are adding to the board. This also happens if you try to upload the plugin or import it from the FTP site.

When I upgraded the board to 3.5.4 around 3 weeks back I was able to add hacks, but shortly after then these problems started.

I am posting this message to try and find out if the problem is with our host or with the board software.

If you need any more information please ask.

I recommend to start a new support ticket and point to this thread and include your ftp details and your admincp details. One of our staff can then login and see what might be wrong.

First I recommend that you reupload all the default vBulletin non-image files and disable plugins to see if it works then.

Does this happen with any plugin, or only one? Also, can you upload any other things to your board through the AdminCP (Styles, Languages, ...)
      Best Regards
      Colin Frei

Please don't contact me per PM.

        Tried reuploading everything, no joy.

This seems to affect the uploading styles as well as plugins. (it happened with all plugins I tested)

I will submit a trouble ticket when I get a chance to set up a new user on the FTP for you.

Does your PHP run and is it configured with --with-xml ?
          \Check phpinfo
