"cron.php" and "config.php"

**I WOULD LIKE TO THANK THE BELOW USER FOR THEIR HELP**

(1)
Should the cron.php file be in the forum directory or in the cron folder.


(2)
I know config.php should be in the "includes" folder but I found a "config.php" file in the forums directory as well.I edited it to try to see if it had any advers effect and it did nothing so I saved to the hard drive then deleted and all seems well.Was I right to assume that the second "config.php" file was uploaded twice and one copy placed in the wrong directory?

I just checked my directories...

1. It belongs to the rott directory of the forums.
2. There is only one config.php which should be in the "includes" folder. You might have uploaded it twice.
