MySql 4.1.12 vs. 3.23.58 compatible?

  • MySql 4.1.12 vs. 3.23.58 compatible?

    My old server ran MySql 3.23.58 My new one runs 4.1.12 Could this be a reason why it doesn't work?

    I'm also getting this error message emailed to me


    Database error in vBulletin :

    Invalid SQL:

    SELECT title, data
    FROM datastore
    WHERE title IN
    ('','options','bitfields','forumcache','usergroupcache','stylecache','languagecache','prod ucts','pluginlist','cron','userstats','birthdaycache','maxloggedin','iconcache','eventcach e','mailqueue');

    MySQL Error : Table 'd60216205.datastore' doesn't exist

    It does exist though doesn't it? I haven't uploaded my old one yet either because it give an error "No SQL Query!" Ugh!!

      do you have access to old server still ? how did you back up your database ? can you list the exact steps you took to backup and transfer your database to new server ?
