  • Popup for reputation

    I've read in older threads that the pop-up code has been completely overhauled for 3.5. I'm hoping to be able to replicate the following:

    Move the indicator in the position below
    Be able to click on the indicator
    Spawn a small window for reputation

    The person who did the mod to the 3.0.x isn't around
    anymore, and I cannot figure it out. Any ideas?

    I've attached an image for reference.

    I don't see an image, and to be honest, I don't quite understand what you mean...
    Maybe the image will help

        Edit your postbit_legacy template.

        Find and remove:
        Code:
        <if condition="$show['reputation']"><div><if condition="$show['reppower']">$vbphrase[reppower]: $post[reppower]</if>$post[reputationdisplay]</div></if>
        Find and remove:
        Code:
        <if condition="$show['reputationlink']"><a href="reputation.php?$session[sessionurl]p=$post[postid]" rel="nofollow"><img class="inlineimg" src="$stylevar[imgdir_button]/reputation.gif" border="0" alt="<phrase 1="$post[username]">$vbphrase[add_to_xs_reputation]</phrase>" /></a></if>
        Find:
        Code:
        <div id="postmenu_$post[postid]">
        Add after:
        Code:
        <a href="reputation.php?$session[sessionurl]p=$post[postid]" rel="nofollow">$post[reputationdisplay]</a>
        Best Regards

          Colin:

          The position is correct, but right now, when you click on the indicator, a drop down menu appears which is exactly like the menu that appears when you click on the user name.

            OK, we'll have to hack a bit more then.

            Disregard the last step above, and do these steps:

            Find:
            Code:
            <div id="postmenu_$post[postid]">
            Replace with:
            Code:
            <div><a href="reputation.php?$session[sessionurl]p=$post[postid]" rel="nofollow">$post[reputationdisplay]</a> <span id="postmenu_$post[postid]">
            Find:
            Code:
            $post[musername]
                            </if>
                        </div>
            Replace that with:
            Code:
            $post[musername]
                            </if>
                        </span></div>
            Best Regards

              Hi Colin:

              didn't work, in fact, it made things worse. What it did was turn the indicator, the user name, and the Reply | Quote | Edit/Del links we created...

              btw, you can now see 3.5.3 live and in action for our forum at www.ga-forum.com.
