There's generally one post per announcement that lists the changed templates.
    For 3.5.4, that's this post: http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showp...54&postcount=4

I went to the announcements. How do I tell what templates have changed in the new version?

That's correct. Synching up templates is the hardest part of upgrading vBulletin. It's a necessary evil. Fortunately there are security patches made available so if you don't have time, you can 'fix' your forum until you have time for a proper upgrade.

The best way is to go through the announcement, checking which templates require a revert, to revert these templates, and then to reapply any changes you have made to them.
