You can configure the cms to display your forums any way you want

Look at http://www.torontogolfnuts.com/ or http://www.valuemd.com/ they are using vbadvanced . You will have to go to their forums to ask how to configure it .

On Reflection actually, VBadvanced doesn't seem to offer any obvious way of creating the look I want to emulate at http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/

Are there any other cms that can create what I want?

That person is using a content manager . You can get a vbulletin content manager from http://www.vbadvanced.com/

    How do I do this?

Hi everyone, I want to be able to display my forum on my home page like this person has done at http://www.sheffieldforum.co.uk/. I also really like the way it's layed out, I'd really appreciate tips on how to go about doing this.
