  • Scheduled Tasks question ..

Am I right in thinking that Scheduled Tasks do not run when your forum is turned off, even if an admin is browsing the forum?

If that's the case, could you please add that infomation to the manual as it took me a while to figure out why Scheduled Tasks weren't running when I thought they should do

    Thanks

Might be a bug, but I believe they should, assuming people _are_ visiting the forum while its turned off.

Oh yes, I was deffo browsing the forums while they were off.

I'll report it as a bug then and see what comes of it.

I would say it is by design (yes, should be in documentation). Why are you turning your board off? You this to work on your site, make a backup, do an upgrade, or other stuff where you don't want updates to the database crossing your work. Would not be good if a scheduled task would start running in the midle of for example an upgrade.
