  • Header resize?

    How do I resize my header area to 98%? I resized my main body and I need my header to line up with it as well

    Thanks,
    Joey

    Is your header template customized?

    From the default template header:

    Code:
    <table border="0" width="$stylevar[outertablewidth]" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" align="center">
    Change width="$stylevar[outertablewidth]" to width="98%"

      Should I change that within the header template itself? I think its more like the background that needs to be resized but i'm not sure. I have PM'ed you a link to my site so you can see for yourself.

        I have no visual, so it is all a guess. I will go check my PM now.

          Ok, in this case I suggest to try and put the header code you got there below the $spacer_open variable and before the $_php_output variable. Hopefully this will stick it to the rest of the deisgn.

            Sorry for my ignorance but I'm not sure what you mean. Could you please elaborate a little on which code I need to move where?

              The header is customized, I don't know the code it uses.

              I assume it starts with a table, and ends with a close table tag

              <table ....> stuff </table>

              Move that part away from the top, and in between those two variables.

                Here is my header:
                PHP Code:
                <!-- logo -->
                <
                a name="top"></a>
                <
                table border="0" width="$stylevar[outertablewidth]cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" align="center">
                <
                tr>
                <
                td align="center"><a href="$vboptions[forumhome].php$session[sessionurl_q]"><img src="$stylevar[titleimage]border="0" alt="$vboptions[bbtitle]/></a></td>

                tr>
                </
                table>

                <!--

                    btw: I noticed you still have

                    width="$stylevar[outertablewidth]"

                      I originally tried to change that to 98% and it did nothing. I'll try the code you just gave me now and let you know my results.

                        OK, the code you gave me kinda worked but the background is all messed up now. Check it out using the link I gave you in your PM.

                          Is that blue bar part of a class like body or page ?

                            I cannot seem to find where I set that background up for the header but I do remember finding out how to do it on vbulletin.com forums.

                            Would it help if I gave you admincp access?

                              i have attached a screen shot to show you what is happening now that I made the code change you told me to. The header background was moved behind the solid page color and also it still sits at 100%.

                              How do I fix this?
