  • Commands to run mysql query via SSH

    Anyone know the exact commands to run the FullText conversion commands via SSH?

    ALTER TABLE post ADD FULLTEXT INDEX (title,pagetext)
    ALTER TABLE thread ADD FULLTEXT INDEX (title)
    .

  • #2
    In your shell type

    mysql -uUSER -pPASS database

    and press enter

    You will then be connected to your mysql server. The prompt you will get is:

    mysql->

    behind it type the alter query and end with ;

    once run you get the prompt back and then run the other query and end with ;

    when done running you can type exit or quit to get back to the shell prompt and you can exit ssh
